Leaving my home in the Eastern Cape to embark on a new chapter in Cape Town was a decision filled with anticipation. Little did I know that this leap of faith would turn out to be the best decision I've ever made. Cape Town, with its vibrant energy and diverse population, quickly became more than just a city to me—it became a place where I found a sense of belonging and a community that I now cherish and love deeply. Enrolling in event management in 2019 marked the beginning of my journey in Cape Town. Amidst a sea of unfamiliar faces, friendships quickly blossomed, transforming acquaintances into my closest confidants and support system. Together, we tackled coursework, responsibilities, and countless moments of laughter, forming bonds that enriched my varsity experience beyond measure. Building on the foundation of event management, I later embarked on a four-year degree in education—a decision that would set me on a path of personal and professional growth. As I delved deeper into the world of education, I discovered a passion for nurturing young minds, shaping futures, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Outside of varsity was full of adventure and unbelievable memories were made. My varsity life in Cape Town has been a transformative journey—one filled with ups and downs, triumphs and setbacks, but above all, growth and self-discovery.
