I found inspiration in Dr Buake. His classroom was a sanctuary from the relentless pace of college life. He taught with passion that seemed to light up the room, discussing the classics with a fervor that made the characters leap off the page. I still remember the day they dissected a particularly dense Faulkner novel, and how Dr Buake navigated through it's complexities with such enthusiasm that the whole class stayed late, animated and buzzing with new understandings.

The fondest memory l cherish occurred outside the classroom. It was during office hours in the cluttered coziness of Dr Buake' s book line office, that he shared advice which shaped my academic path. Over cups of strong, slightly too bitter coffee, he encouraged me to pursue my dream of writing, emphasizing the importance of an authentic voice-over conforming to the typical writing styles.

This conversation not only bolstered my confidence but also solidified my resolve to carve out a unique narrative style. Even years after, l still reflects on that afternoon as the moment l truly began to believe in my own potential as a writer.
