Entering Varsity College in 2021, I embarked on a journey into the world of online learning with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. The concept was novel to me, and I had no complete idea of what to expect. However, what I found within the digital corridors of my virtual classrooms was beyond what I could have imagined. Despite the physical distance, the lecturers and peers I encountered through online interactions became pillars of support and sources of inspiration. Their dedication to the craft of teaching and learning transcended the digital divide, fostering a sense of community and collaboration that bridged the gaps between screens and miles.
Among the Lecturers who left an indelible mark on my journey was Ben van der Schyff. As my Teaching Experience Supervisor, Ben not only guided me through the intricacies of pedagogy but also instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and passion for the teaching profession.
