Joanna Munengwa

My time at Vega was amazing, this doesn't mean it lacked turbulent times but even then, I grew and was shaped through them. There are too many fond memories to choose from but I'd like to give special mention to the staff on campus from the guards that keep us safe, help us park, and direct us; the cleaning staff that keep our campus spotless and help with events; the receptionist who helps with a beautiful smile on her face; our RNs who deal with and juggle our many requests, issues, and frustrations; our navigators that hold our hands through our course content and do their best to prepare us for life after school; the team at the canteen keeping us fed; my classmates and friends on campus that laughed and cried with me, and of course the staff behind the scenes that aren't student facing but make sure were getting the best experience academically and on campus in general. I'm incredibly grateful to have built relationships that outlasted my studies at Vega. If I had to choose just one memory, I would choose my undergrad graduation. It was a huge milestone for me and what made it special was having my parents come to celebrate me and meet all of the wonderful people that made my academic journey the success that it was. It was an honour to be rewarded for my hard work and a privilege to be awarded for my character. I'll never forget that day and it wouldn't have been what it was without all the people I mentioned in this note.
